Procter & Gamble
The first company looking for 3PL services in Malaysia.​

Metroport was the first third-party logistics (3PL) provider in Malaysia. In our appointment by Procter & Gamble (P&G), we took charge of their warehousing and distribution needs for the Pampers and Whisper product lines.
Our scope encompassed:

import and export of P&G’s products via land, sea and air

cross-border services between Thailand and Malaysia

repacking (hygiene packing)
-
temperature-controlled storage
-
hygiene control
With P&G’s main central distribution centre and satellite warehouses, it was clear to us that efficient management was vital.
Ahead of our time, we implemented Swisslog – a warehouse management system that made use of radio frequency scanners and a computer mainframe that connected to satellites orbiting Earth – a rarity back in the day.
Our dedication was proven through 100% accuracy rates. We were recognised by P&G, winning the prestigious Pinnacle Award for Excellence multiple times in Leadership, Self-Audit, Good Warehouse Practices and Quality Systems.
That’s what made us Malaysia’s Preferred Logistics Provider in the FMCG market.
7-eleven
Crossdock/Flowthrough services.​

In 2004, 7-Eleven appointed Metroport for the retail management of their chain of 24-hour convenience stores in Malaysia. Our commitment to 7-Eleven’s business oversaw the quick expansion of their initial outlet count from 300 stores to more than 1300 outlets today.
How did we manage this growth?
Our approach was simple: little or no storage, sorting and consolidating inbound goods for outbound movement into each individual outlet.
The technological element was a key driver – we decided to implement the most advanced system available, at a cost of approximately $20 million. Using headsets with Voice-Activated Technology, workers are free to fully use their hands and eyes.
What does this give us?

Fraser & Neave
Bridging the gap for technological advancements.​

F&N wanted to bring in the infrastructure for one of their production lines to Malaysia from overseas. Metroport’s role was integral – we chartered an aircraft to fly in the entire ice-cream plant, just so F&N could have what they wanted. Our ability to move anything anywhere in the world is why we are Malaysia's Preferred Logistics Provider.
This one's particularly close to our hearts though: It means bringing in the sort of technology that moves Malaysia forward as a nation.
Sumur City Aerospace Adventure
For things that are a little out of the ordinary.

​At i-City Shah Alam (formerly known as Sumur City), Metroport was involved in the Sumur City Aerospace Adventure exhibition. Being the appointed logistics provider for the project, our brief was clear: to ensure the success of the exhibition. We chartered a ship to bring in all the exhibits, namely spacecraft, rockets, etc., and managed all the handling, storage and movements of the goods.
Special Shipments
Metroport has a history of handling shipments that are out of the ordinary. With a close working relationship established, we were appointed by royal families to handle their door-to-door shipments. It’s all about trusting us to do what we’re best at: making things move for you.
SINOKOR MARINE MERCHANT
Far East Movement.​

Metroport was appointed by Sinokor Marine Merchant from Korea to be the general sales agent in Malaysia, involving trade between Malaysia and the Far East: Korea, Japan and China.
The scope of our operations involved managing all Sinokor vessels entering Malaysia in the areas of ship husbanding and container yard management.
Under our partnership, we grew the business to become the 2nd largest player in these shipping routes.
AIRLINE AGENTS
The sky isn't the limit.​ Not to us.

AirAsia
Metroport was appointed by AirAsia to be the General Sales Agent (GSA) for Malaysia, managing more than 160 flights daily. We ensured AirAsia’s air cargo division maintained good uplifting, spelling business growth and success. Metroport was also appointed as a Cargo Sales Agent (CSA) for AirAsia Berhad after our GSA tenancy period ended.
POS Malaysia
Metroport was appointed as a Cargo Sales Agent (CSA) for POS Malaysia, enabling us to put our best foot forward in the air cargo consolidation market.
Malaysia Airlines (MAS)
Metroport was appointed as a Cargo Sales Agent (CSA) for MAS. Our role as the industry leader was cemented when we received the Mega Tonners Award multiple times – an award that recognises MAS’ largest supporters in terms of cargo volume.
